Why these problems do not go away on their own
Dogs repeat what works. If reactivity, barking, lunging, anxiety or avoidance has been going on for more than a few weeks, it is already a practised pattern — and practice is what makes it stronger, not time.
How the program works
1. Temperament
We begin the program with a behavior evaluation and temperament assessment of your dog. Then connect with you about your relationship with your dog, what your goals are, then what’s fun and what isn’t. Then we make a structured plan together.
2. Structure before exposure
Our typical process for each client is to get the human and the dog connected and on the same page before addressing the things that are difficult for the dog. Once you and your dog have proficient obedience from daily structured interactions, good exposure becomes possible.
3. Controlled exposure
Once you and your dog have demonstrated confidence and proficiency in their obedience and rewarding skills we will start having our lessons in challenging public environments. We will also encourage you both to attend our weekly group class!

The evaluation comes first for everyone. It is how we find out whether a program is the right answer, and which one.
Common questions
- Will this fix aggression?
- We work with aggression regularly. Some dogs need private sessions and some need Board & Train — we will tell you which after the evaluation.
- Do you train with e-collars?
- Yes, but only after communication has been conditioned. Pressure is used to mean clarity, never conflict, and a dog that does not yet understand what pressure means before the Ecollar, is not ready for it.
- My dog is terrified of new places. Can you help?
- Yes. We specialize and soft tempered dogs who need structured confidence building.
- How long does real change take?
- You could see progress right away. Most will see progress in the first two weeks. Deeper emotional change takes consistency past that, and the program is built to educate you so the consistency required is easy.
